After close to a year of prayer and intense preparations, the Navigators Africa Staff Conference finally took place from the 28^th of February to the 5^th of March 2009. Exactly 363 participants from over 20 African nations and five other nations gathered for this conference. The venue of the conference was the Multi Media University College situated on the outskirts of Nairobi, Kenya. The theme of this conference was “Together Advancing the Gospel with Courage.” Three highlights of the conference are:

•  A series of uplifting messages by Mike Treneer, International President of the Navigators, from the book of First Thessalonians.
• The presentation of the Africa Strategy to guide Navigator work on the continent for the next 10 years.
• The participants' chance to interact with each other across several generations of Navigator laborers and to better understand the overall Navigator work on the continent.
